The Devil Fruits are sought after because of the perks they provide, however, they are limited in the One Piece world. These Devil Fruits are incredibly hard to replicate and even the smartest man in the world, Dr Vegapunk, was, initially, was not able to replicate the Devil Fruit successfully. Vegapunk then made more artificial Zoan Devil Fruits. Caesar Clown is the second person in the One Piece universe to create artificial Zoan fruits. Fruits produced by Ceaser are called ‘SMILEs’. SMILEs turn the users into an animal hybrid. A side effect of the artificial Devil Fruits is losing the ability to swim. Luckily One Piece is not an anime about swimmers. Can someone check up on Haruka Nanase from the anime, Free! ? Another side effect is having a unique laughter. We will be ranking The Top 10 artificial Zoan users, but fair warning, this is a subjective opinion, so it’s alright if some of you disagree. Not really. Everything in this article is law. 10. Speed
Part of the Beasts Pirates, Speed is a Shinuchi stationed in Bakura. She became Tama’s subordinate after gaining her powers from an artificial Devil Fruit. Speed is a Horse SMILE user, which makes her a centaur, her lower body and ears resemble a horse, and her upper body is human. The devil fruit gives her 350-degree vision and makes her very fast due to her horse legs. Additionally, she can carry people on her back with no effort.
9. Madilloman
Another member of the Beasts Pirates, Madilloman is a Gifter. He is a large muscular man with a purple armadillo shell on his back, along with small hind legs and a large tail due to consuming the Armadillo SMILE. The armadillo’s head and forelegs appear very small in the front of the shell. Madilloman’s devil fruits give him the benefits of an armadillo such as using the shell for defense, Armadi-Guard, or rolling into a ball and attacking opponents, Madillo Spin.
8. Bearman
Bearman is a Gifter in the Beasts Pirates. He consumed the Bear SMILE, which gave him the physical traits of a bear. Bearman has enhanced strength and his claws are capable of severing human bodies. He also has defensive abilities. It has always been advised to run away from bears instead of engaging with them, so a bearman would be a forest trekker’s worst nightmare.
7. Hold’em
Stationed in Bakura, Hold’em is a Shinuchi part of Beasts Pirates. He is a large man with feline features such as whiskers and a lion head, forearms, and tails protruding from his stomach. He is shirtless, hairy, and has black lips and tattoos. The name of the lionhead is Kamijiro, who possesses great strength in his jaw and paws. The lion has a mind of his own, which is a disadvantage to Hold’em as he can be attacked by the lion. However, any damage dealt to Hold’em hurts Kamijiro as well. One of the techniques is Shishi no Hi, in which Kamijiro breathes a large stream of fire.
6. Dobon
Another Shinuchi of the Beasts Pirates, Dobon resides in the Udon region of the Wano Country. Dobon is a large man with short spiky hair. He consumed the Hippo SMILE fruit, which is why he has a huge hippopotamus’s muzzle on him. His legs have fused with the bottom lip of the hippo making him sit inside the hippo’s mouth. Dobon uses the hippo’s mouth to catch other people in it during a battle. This is called the Slaughter’s Room. The hippo has a mind of its own and it sometimes closes its mouth, cutting Dobon off from the rest of the world.
5. Solitaire
Residing in the Udon region of the Wano Country, Solitaire is a Shinuchi of the Beasts Pirates. She has mint green hair and two horns on her head, but her most unique traits are her 6 arms and monkey tail because she consumed the Monkey SMILE fruit. She wields four swords with four of her arms, making her a stronger opponent than many. After all, one sword is scary enough, imagine being attacked by four. Yikes!
4. Alpacaman
Another member of the Beasts Pirates residing in the Udon region of Wano Country, Alpacaman is a Gifter. As the name suggests Alpacaman is an Alpaca Hybrid (they got creative with these names, didn’t they?) who consumed the Alpaca SMILE. Also, his head and neck appear like an alpacas and he is capable of spitting saliva projectiles at high speed. One of his techniques is the Alpaca Fire where he and Madilomman used a combined attack to spit fire and saliva.
3. Daifugo
One of the few artificial zoan users with a creative name, Daifugo is a Shinuchi of the Beasts Pirates from the Udon region of Wano Country. Daifugo’s appearance is unique with his upper body being a human’s and his lower body consisting of six legs over which he wears purple leather pants. He has a stinger at the end of his ponytail. He got these traits by consuming the Scorpion SMILE. Daifugo is quite a strong individual because of his ability to use more than one weapon (the sword on his back and flintlocks). Daifugo’s flintlocks contain bullets with a highly contagious virus, which also spreads to those who come in contact with the victim. He uses a technique called Scorpion Death Needle in which he strikes opponents with the stinger in his hair.
2. Babanuki
Babanuki is a large, muscular, tanned man and a Shinuchi of the Beasts Pirates. The user resides in the Udon region of Wano Country. He has a yellow elephant head on his torso because he consumes the Elephant SMILE. The elephant shoots explosive blasts out of its trunk, Elephant Hakushon. An easy solution to stopping this is tying the trunk which will prevent any blasts and injure Babanuki. The SMILE user can also use his trunk as a makeshift cannon and launch cannonballs. This is called Elephant’s Marchoo. Plus, he also possesses a very powerful and deadly weapon called the Excite Shot, which makes him a hard opponent to defeat.
1. Kozuki Momonosuke
Son of the powerful Kozuki Oden, Kozuki Momonosuke is the current shogun of Wano Country. Momonosuke is a strong character with abilities like hearing the Voice of All things, his father’s toughness, and a sword wielder. In addition to that, Momonosuke ate Vegapunk’s man-made copy of the Uo Uo no Mi: Seiryu (Fish-Fish Fruit: Azure) which was supposed to give him the same abilities as Kaidou, that is turning into a dragon. Vegapunk’s attempt at successfully copying the fruit was a failure but Momonosuke eventually gains more control of the dragon and uses it to his advantage. All these factors make Momonosuke the most powerful of the artificial Zoan users.
Artificial Zoan users are unique because of the unpredictability of their fruits. The side effects of the fruit are unknown and there is a 10% chance for the fruit to work. Losing your ability to swim and having goofy laughter is a small price to pay for the abilities the fruit has to offer. The user has to be extremely lucky (or part of a significant plot story in the anime) to gain attributes that would increase their strength by a good amount.
