Not only is Zeff the head chef and owner of Baratie, but he is also the captain of the Cook Pirates (The author is skeptical as to whether this crew existed). He is Sanji’s cooking mentor and his adoptive father. Although Zeff was not a typical sweet father figure, he was a great guardian. He would often scold Sanji to make him into a better chef and fighter. Zeff started crying tears of joy when Sanji finally embarked on his dream, and he felt overjoyed.

His children adore him greatly and he had a great impact on their actions and motivations. A mafia don who became a pirate (Ah yes Oda’s favorite profession Pirate), Capone ‘Gang’ Bege is the Captain of the Fire Tank Pirates. He loves his one and only son Capone Pez dearly and is very open in his affection towards Pez. Bege wishes for his son to grow into a great leader. He acts silly and goofy to make his child happy. Edward Newgate is the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates and is also known as the Strongest Man in the World. He more popularly goes by the name Whitebeard. Nevertheless, Whitebeard is also regarded as one of the Best Father Figures in One Piece. Whitebeard’s admirable quality is that although he does not have a blood relation with his crew, he treats them like they are his children. He gives his crew a sense of belonging and protection. Whitebeard is very compassionate about his crew and he has a strong moral code that guides his actions.
