Emma Frost is the newest hero added to Marvel Rivals, as of the Season 2 update. She is a Vanguard unit and possesses powerful DPS capabilities as well. Emma Frost can also shield allies, and makes for an invaluable asset in the battlefield.
However, she does become a lot more effective with specific allies in the game.
Best team composition for Emma Frost in Marvel Rivals
You can find a list of the top 5 heroes to pair with Emma Frost below. Some of these heroes work directly in sync with the character, while others work a bit more passively.
Regardless, these are all very powerful combinations that have no rivals (pun intended). Keep in mind that this list is not ranked.
1) Magneto
The often misunderstood mutant villain (and sometimes antihero) Magneto pairs extremely well with Emma Frost. Magneto was already one of the most powerful heroes prior, and this team-up makes him even more flexible. While tricky, players can pair with Emma Frost to unleash a special Team-Up move known as Mental Projection. This lets Magneto deal twice as much damage with normal abilities. Naturally, this also extends into having two shields instead of one. It might be a bit tricky to learn initially, but it’s still a very worthwhile skill to use.
2) Psylocke
Psylocke is yet another mutant who pairs well with Emma Frost, which is no coincidence. She can also make use of the Team-Up ability – Mental Projection and create a shadow clone of herself to attack foes. Psylocke users have the advantage of being able to choose between both Emma’s defensive and offensive abilities to their advantage.
3) Wolverine
The one and only Wolverine is the best at what he does, but sometimes works better with a team. Pairing him up with Emma Frost makes for an explosive combination. Both mutants complement their abilities very well. Wolverine can provide some cover and retaliatory fire for Emma, allowing her to use her abilities without interruption. They are a particularly deadly combo for dealing with other rival Vanguards.
4) Mantis
Mantis pairs extremely well with Emma Frost in Marvel Rivals. Mantis’ moves, in particular, are able to buff Emma’s damage in addition to providing a continuous flow of heals. This combination is quite formidable, but requires players to be in perfect sync.
Mantis can also be used to stack stuns and other multipliers. She already is quite a good healer on her own, and this makes her all the more useful to have.
5) Luna Snow
Luna Snow also pairs very well with Emma Frost. This Strategist can enhance Emma’s damage output (by using Ice Arts) in addition to providing heals, much like Mantis. Another strategic move is to use her Absolute Zero ability just before Emma launches her ultimate ability in order to freeze enemies in place.
