Being the strongest Marine officers in the game, it’s about time we talk about Strongest Admirals in One Piece.
As many already know, Admirals are some of the strongest characters in the series, showcasing unparalleled combat skills and mastery over Haki. Their immense power is often demonstrated through epic battles against pirates, revolutionaries, and other powerful adversaries. That part is kind of obvious to anyone who has paid attention. However, we haven’t ranked the strongest Admirals in the One Piece Universe yet. It’s about time we did.
8. Kong
Kong is pretty enigmatic in the world of One Piece, but his positioning in the World Government makes us believe he can make waves (both literally and figuratively). During his tenure as the fleet admiral of the Marines, he wielded complete dominion over the organization. He operating under the auspices of the World Government. When occupying the role of the Commander-in-Chief of the World Government, kong serves its interests while commanding not only the Marines. He’s also exercising jurisdiction over the Government’s intelligence operatives, the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Enies Lobby, and the Cipher Pols. In alignment with the hierarchy of the World Government, his supremacy is surpassed solely by the Five Elders and Imu.
7. “Black Arm” Zephyr (Z)
While concrete feats may vary depending on the source material, Zephyr’s reputation as an admiral underscores his prowess. Central to Admiral Zephyr’s strength is his mastery of Haki, an advanced martial art. Most are aware this grants him heightened perception, endurance, and the ability to exert his willpower as a potent force. He earned the moniker “Black Arm” after mastering Busoshoku Haki at the age of 34. This and more enables him to anticipate opponents’ moves, defend against powerful attacks, and exert mental pressure on foes. Some will question his placement on the list, but that’s probably because they neglect his unimaginable past.
6. Ryokugyu
This is a tricky one. Ryokugyu consumed the Mori Mori no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that bestows upon him the power to generate, manipulate, and metamorphose his body into plant matter. His plant creations exhibit remarkable rapid growth and unrestricted mobility. These often diverging from the constraints typical of certain plants, like trees, which are commonly static. Worth mentioning is his inability to attain intangibility since plants are corporeal entities. Nonetheless, he remains impervious to non-Haki assaults and possesses the capacity to rejuvenate from inflicted injuries. Personality-wise, he is rather enigmatic, but his hatred for the opposition is clear.
5. Fujitora
What truly sets Fujitora apart is his moral compass and sense of justice. Despite his position as a Marine admiral, he is unafraid to challenge the establishment’s norms. Fujitora is critical of the World Government’s approach to justice and has openly displayed a desire to change the system from within. His actions in the Dressrosa Arc, where he aimed to abolish the Warlord system, presented his determination to create a fairer world.
Fujitora has a unique fighting style and Devil Fruit ability. He wields the Zushi Zushi no Mi. This being a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that grants him the power to control and manipulate gravity. This formidable ability allows him to manipulate his surroundings, exerting gravitational forces to attract, repel, and distort objects at will.
4. Aokiji(Kuzan)
The memorable plotline for Kuzan is his decision to leave the Marines , eventually paving the way for his affiliation with the Blackbeard Pirates. This unexpected alliance continues to prompt speculation about his intentions and possible future role in the narrative. His interactions with other characters, particularly Monkey D. Luffy, emphasize his semi-unpredictable nature and unpredictable actions.
One of the most striking aspects of Kuzan is his affiliation with the ice-based Logia-type Devil Fruit, the “Hie Hie no Mi.” This power grants him the capacity to create, control, and transform into ice, a skill that he wields with extraordinary finesse. His ice manipulation spans from creating massive icebergs to freezing vast expanses of sea, exhibiting his ingenuity and intuition in battles.
3. Kizaru
We talked about this calm, cool, and collected figure in his own segment. Central to Kizaru’s character is his affiliation with the Light-Light Fruit, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that grants him mastery over light. This power enables him to move at the speed of light and project blindingly intense beams of light energy. Even in unwinable situations, the man is still nonetheless capable of evading capture! As stated in the other segment, Kizaru’s combat style is marked by his nonchalant demeanor, as he often approaches battles with an almost casual attitude, belied by his unparalleled power.
2. Sengoku
Beyond his combat prowess, Sengoku embodies wisdom and authority. His measured approach to conflict and his commitment to maintaining justice and order are evident throughout his tenure as Fleet Admiral. His interactions with other high-ranking figures, including Garp, exemplify his role as a mentor and stabilizing influence within the tumultuous One Piece universe.
One of Sengoku’s defining attributes is his connection to the mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit, the “Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu.” This unique power enables him to transform into a massive golden Buddha figure, which became a legendary image among fans. He also got a nod from Gol D. Roger, so that settles it.
1. Akainu
Sakazuki’s power lies in his possession of the fearsome Magu Magu no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that grants him control over magma. This mastery over molten rock provides him with an arsenal of devastating attacks, ranging from launching searing magma projectiles to reshaping the battlefield itself. His utilization of this power is on full display against Kuzan.
Perhaps the most defining moment in Sakazuki’s character arc is his clash with Monkey D. Luffy during the Marineford War. This confrontation cements his reputation as a merciless adversary willing to go to any lengths to uphold his sense of justice, even if it means sacrificing his own subordinates. His ruthlessness in dealing with traitors and perceived threats further underscores his uncompromising ideology.
