Pokémon game developer Game Freak has just released a new mobile game in collaboration with Japanese mobile game developer WonderPlanet. The game is called Pandoland. It is an action-adventure RPG where you can explore block-like worlds, fight in dungeons, collect treasures and, in typical Game Freak fashion, collect unique companions that can be levelled up.
Pandoland features over 500 companions that players can find and collect throughout the game. The official game page describes these companions as people that come with unique skills and expertise. You’ll need to complete your “Dex” by finding and collecting them all.
There’s also co-op and PvP in the game, but it is seemingly an open-world exploration game first and foremost. The game has also been designed to be played with one hand and in portrait mode on your iPhone or Android device.
It goes without saying that Pandoland is a mobile game and is free-to-play with possible in-game purchases. At the moment, there is a log-in reward campaign taking place where users can get rewards for playing every day. This will continue as a normal in-game feature.
