First met in Impel Down, Inazuma is the deputy general of the Revolutionary Army’s Emporio Ivankov, wielding the Snip-Snip Fruit. Inazuma fights valiantly for the freedom of everyone, with fierce power in combat and knowledge. Along with their Devil Fruit ability, the Snip-Snip Fruit, Inazuma is an effective deputy general in both combat and tactics when they support Iva in battle. It’s still not enough to get them free from Impel Down, although they do manage to keep themselves safe and build a kingdom.

What is the Snip-Snip Fruit?
The Snip-Snip Fruit is a Paramecia Type, leading Inazuma to change their hands at will if they so choose into pairs of scissors. Their hair is also able to change, utilizing them as an even larger pair of scissors that can slice through anything. With the Snip-Snip Fruit, Inazuma is literally able to cut through the surroundings like a sharp pair of scissors. The power manifests in a ton of different ways, from being able to spiral cut a staircase into the wall or even stretch out the pieces of land that he cuts through. Inazuma prefers to make things more frilly than usual too, stretching things out into wavy coils with spiral cuts.
The snips that Inazuma makes with the Devil Fruit maintain their material and rigidity, though he is able to manipulate them. In Impel Down he manages to create an entire staircase running through the building. Marineford is even more a show of his power, as he’s able to slice through the battlefield, turning up the turf to use as a shield against foes. Surprisingly, the Snip-Snip Fruit is more versatile than it seems, especially when used against human opponents in the story.
Inazuma
The Deputy General of the Revolutionary Army, serving alongside Emporio Ivankov, one of the original founders. Inazuma fully subscribes to his ideology when it comes to how he sees himself, transitioning between male and female at will depending on how he feels. Inazuma often has a massive set of scissors on hand alongside the ones he can make from his own arms, channeling his Snip-Snip powers into the tools to increase cutting power. Alongside Iva, he fights for freedom to be who he is, as well as everyone else who lives in the Grand Line subject to the World Government.
When Iva is arrested and sent to Impell Down, Inazuma is right there alongside him. The two end up finding their way into the forgotten level of Impel Down, creating the New Newkama Kingdom. Inazuma’s power begins to help them bring more prisoners into the fold, snipping right into the secured areas of the prison before disappearing again into the walls. Together, they slowly liberate members of the prison population, helping many to figure out who they are in the process. Inazuma will later follow Iva to help the Straw Hat Boy in Marineford, keeping him safe until he’s far from the battle.
Strengths
The real strength of the Snip-Snip Fruit is just how versatile it can be in battle. Inazuma can cut pieces of the landscape out, changing the battlefield as he sees fit. Otherwise, there’s there ability to even use the Snip-Snip abilities to snip enemies, though the effect wears off after a short time like most Paramecia types. There are even more offensive abilities thanks to the many pairs of scissors Inazuma holds, allowing different ways to fight back against enemies chasing him.
Defensive capabilities are the real strength here though, as his ability to snip and fold almost anything is amazing for cover. He’s able to cut out an entire section of the ground below, turning it up to become a huge wall of earth or flooring to keep himself safe. It’s one of the main methods of protection he and Iva have during the Marineford War, and saves Luffy a couple of times too.
Weaknesses
As with every Devil Fruit in existence, water is the one true weakness. The user falling into water will effectively cancel out their powers, also making them sink like a stone in the ocean. The Snip-Snip Fruit isn’t immune by any means, rendering Inazuma no better than an anchor when he ends up in any moderately deep body of water. Otherwise, there aren’t too many outright weaknesses against the Snip-Snip Fruit, but it’s certainly not one of the strongest out there as is.
The Snip-Snip Fruit hasn’t had too much development since its introduction in Impel Down. Inazuma is still around to back up Ivankov though, and the Revolutionaries are only growing in importance. It’s likely Inazuma and his Snip-Snip Fruit are going to come back into play at some point soon, especially since the Revolutionaries are preparing to move on the World Government. In some time, the Snip-Snip Fruit might end up saving the Straw Hats again from the powers of the Marines or the World Government.
