While he was one of the strongest pirates on the seas during his youth, Whitebeard is still a massive presence as he ages. The Emperor of the Sea in One Piece wouldn’t have been entirely as feared without his Tremor-Tremor Fruit though. With his abilities to create cracks in the sky and rock massive islands with earthquakes, the Tremor-Tremor Fruit leads Whitebeard to victory.

What is the Tremor-Tremor Fruit?
The Tremor-Tremor Fruit is one of the strongest Paramecia-type Devil Fruits out there. Able to cause earthquakes at the user’s discretion, it’s one of the few Devil Fruits with the ability to totally destroy the world. It’s no wonder the Celestial Dragons name Whitebeard as an Emperor level threat. His powers could probably easily collapse Marijoa right off the Red Line.
While it is one of the strongest in the series, the Tremor-Tremor Fruit also has the coolest look. Whenever the powers activate, it creates cracks wherever the wielder hits. Whether they send fault lines racing through the ground or create entire fractures in the air, it’s going to shake everyone nearby. Other than the cracks that appear in whatever the power is used on, a defining characteristic of it is the white aura that shines around the user when they activate the Devil Fruit.
Devil Fruit Strengths
Considering it’s a Paramecia Type, it’s one of the stronger Devil Fruits. One of the few that can stand up against types like Logia or Zoan. The Tremor-Tremor Fruit user is able to not only shake the ground, but turn the entire earth upside down. There’s no limit to the destruction it can cause, and at the Marineford Wars, Whitebeard literally tilts the heavens. Everything flips, sending Marines falling upward before crashing back down to the ground below.
While mostly for shaking the earth around, the tremors can also compress into smaller, more concentrated quakes. They can do massive damage to one enemy, too. Where the Tremor-Tremor Fruit truly shines is in battles with multiple enemies though. Especially as it can quickly bring everyone down in one groundshaking move.
Weaknesses
Of course, even though the Tremor-Tremor Fruit is incredibly strong, there is an obvious glaring weakness. Airborne enemies are, for the most part, totally unbothered by the powers of this Devil Fruit. That’s not to say they can’t be affected. This Fruit allows the user to imbue their hits with the power of earthquakes, so physical contact can definitely work. There’s also a side power of it that can create shockwaves, whether it be on land, air, or sea, which helps immensely.
The other major weakness of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit is collateral damage. If the user isn’t careful, confining their powers into a certain area or level of intensity, they could easily destroy everything in the world. The quakes from Marineford were felt around the world, and Whitebeard was even able to create tsunamis. All with one Devil Fruit that hit other islands seas away.
Who Has the Tremor-Tremor Fruit Now?
Previously held by Whitebeard, Emperor of the Sea, the Tremor-Tremor Fruit was stolen by Marshall D Teach. After showing just how powerful the Devil Fruit was during the Martineford Wars, doing insane levels of damage to the island, Teach makes his move. He and his crew kill Whitebeard, and Blackbeard somehow steals the Devil Fruit from him. Now, Teach is in command of two Fruits that can destroy the world, with no care as to what he’ll do with them.
It’s kind of a miracle the World Government hasn’t moved against Teach earlier. He does have some of the strongest Devil Fruits, with Tremor-Tremor and Dark-Dark Fruits being in his possession. The powers of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit are, for the most part, the same as it was, though now it has the added terror of darkness.
This Devil Fruit is still playing a huge part in the story, most recently coming up against Trafalgar D Law’s Op-Op Fruit. The Tremor-Tremor Fruit wins though, and things don’t look so good for Law. Things are beginning to come to a head in the world of One Piece, with the Tremor-Tremor Fruit leaving faultlines wherever Blackbeard steps.
