Where is the Lulusia Kingdom?
Located in Paradise, the first half of the Grand Line, Lulusia is incredibly close to the Red Line center point. Within just a couple of days’ journey to Mary Geoise, it’s one of the more affluent countries in the nation. Even despite the number of small towns and seemingly poorer citizens. That’s mostly because the kingdom’s rulers often take advantage of the citizens, making them give up whatever they have in service to the royalty. King Seki, the ruling King of Lulusia, is a weaselly older man who just wants to try and warm his way up to the Celestial Dragons in Mary Geoise.
While the kingdom finally overthrow King Seki after the Revery in the current timeline, it isn’t to be. The Kingdom vanishes completely by the World Government in an instant using the Mother Flame. With one massive beam of lightning from the sky above, Lulusia is no more. Now replaced by a massive sinkhole in the ocean where it previously stood. The sea levels across the Grand Line rose by one meter when it was destroyed, swallowing entire other countries along with it.
World Government Status
The Lulusia Kingdom was one of the original World Government countries, being incredibly close to the kingdom of Mary Geoise. The proximity to the Holy City as well as the distance to Military Base G2 made it the perfect spot for a country to take shape. In doing so, the World Government installed one of their puppet monarchists. This allowed them to rule over the kingdom however they saw fit. Of course, these rulers didn’t have the ultimate say over anything. Still, as long as they were above others they didn’t care.
King Seki is one of the many attendants at the Reverie in One Piece’s current time. They’re one of the no-votes on dissolving the Warlord System. Though it’s not like they’re going to have a say for much longer. After the Reverie descends in to chaos, the ship carrying King Seki departs back home to Lulusia. All without realizing that he doesn’t have much of a home to run back to.
Revolution
After the daring raid by Sabo on Mary Geoise, nations around the world take up arms against their tyrannical leaders. The Lulusia Kingdom is one of the few, and while King Seki is still out, citizens rise up. They destroy the government system currently in place. Thier king returns to the country, though he arrives to summarily have his people throw him into a prison cell. All for his various crimes against the citizens. It’s not the last country to revolt in the Grand Line. It is among the first in the wake of the Flame Emperor declaring war on the World Government.
Speaking of, the Flame Emperor himself is on the ship that returns to the Lulusia Kingdom carrying King Seki. Sabo, after seeing that the citizens have taken Seki into custody, reveals himself to them. With volunteers that sign up to join the Revolutionaries alongside him, fighting for others across the land, Sabo sets off back to Kamabakka Kingdom. Turns out, he and that ship leave just in time. They are the only survivors remaining of the Lulusia Kingdom now.
The Mother Flame
Things are looking a little chaotic atop the Red Line in Mary Geoise, so now seems like a good time for Imu to make a point. The one above all others relays the message to the Gorosei, telling them to use the Mother Flame on Lulusia. The Gorosei remind Imu that Lulusia is a member of the World Government, but it really seems like Imu is past giving a damn about that. It’s definitely clear that One Piece is hitting the end game when the mad ruler doesn’t give a crap about nuking one of their own countries to prove a point.
With a single order, the lightning of whatever the Mother Flame is striking down on the Lulusia Kingdom. The people living there barely have moments to react. Few only seeing the huge beam of energy hitting the center of their country at first. Then everything is gone. The only remaining sign that the Lulusia Kingdom was ever there is a massive hole in the ocean. Now it’s there with water falling over the side in an endless waterfall much like Enies Lobby. The water level around the world rises by one meter when it’s destroyed. Now the country is, effectively, wiped from history much like Ohara was.
The tale of the Lulusia Kingdom will be a footnote in the atrocities of the World Government as things go on. As they’ve done to countless countries through the years, the Gorosei will destroy anything that challenges the power of Imu. That includes annihilating islands full of innocent citizens, all just trying to live modest lives, to make a point of how cruel they can be. The Lulusia Kingdom is no more, but when the World government is finally brought down, they will see justice for the people of Lulusia.
